1917
FoundingEstablishment of the Toba Shipyard Electrical Department, marking our company’s inception.
1920
Initiated production of pot motors upon request by Teikoku Jinzo-Kenshi Kaisha, Ltd. (currently TEIJIN LIMITED).
Manufactured direct-current, fan-driven power generator developed for aircraft use. Entered the business of electrical components for aircraft.
1921
Transferred to Kobe Steel Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Suzuki & Co., Ltd., becoming Kobe Steel’s Toba Works.
1922
Completed production of the first battery-operated transport vehicle made in Japan.
1941
Construction of the Yamada Plant (currently Ise Plant).
1949
EstablishedKobe Steel split into three companies, leading to the establishment of Shinko Electric Co., Ltd.
1952
Listed on the Osaka Securities Exchange and Tokyo Stock Exchange, First Section.
1965
Establishment of the Toyohashi Plant.
1986
Developed Automated Material Handling System(AMHS) for semiconductor plants
1989
Established our first overseas production base in Thailand.
Began delivery of vertical heat treatment furnaces for semiconductor manufacturing. Entered the semiconductor manufacturing equipment business.

Expansion in the form of the new Plant No. 3 in Sinfonia Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
